Developments in technology and science have also affected the criteria sought in the definition of qualified manpower. In order to support these criteria, some arrangements have been made in the current education system (İnam, 2020). In these regulations, the STEM approach emerged. The starting point of our project process is based on the Culture and Art eTwinning project with STEM, which was carried out between October 2020 and June 2021 and received the European Quality Label. As a result of the project, our school was entitled to receive the STEM School Label. Our work, titled Zübeyde Hanım Kindergarten Learns with STEM, has been adapted to the school project in order to enable preschool children to look at problems from an interdisciplinary perspective and gain knowledge and skills with new generation educational approaches. In our school project, a total of 13 STEM plans were developed for the preschool period. Our activities to popularize STEM education in our school have been completed with STEM Teacher Trainings in February and SDC22 Zübeyde Hanım Kindergarten STEM Days (STEM Discovery Campaign) events in April. The project, which was implemented between February 1, 2022 and May 13, 2022, was closed with the STEM Festival. Implementation of 13 STEM plans within the scope of STEM Festival; It was shared with our students, teachers, parents, education administrators and other guests. 350 children aged 4-10 and a total of 18 teachers from 4 countries participated in the project. At the end of the project, an end-of-project evaluation survey was administered. Children's designs, models and productions were included in the process.
